I'm still trying to get photos of Aoife's teeth, but this task appears to be easier said than done.  To her credit, I'm not sure how much I'd like it if someone opened my mouth and tried to take iphone pictures of my teeth.

Aoife continues to sit and play, as witnessed by these photos and videos today.

Her two front lower bottom teeth are coming in and visible; I'll try to get a photo of those cute little teeth soon!

Aoife surprises her mom

After musing that Aoife might be sitting for 10-15 minutes by the end of the month, Aoife surprised me.  I sat her down to play with some toys, and she did - for about 30 minutes. She didn't wobble, she didn't lean, and I didn't steady her - she sat for 30 minutes and played. I'm so proud of her!!

Six month appointment

Aoife had her six month well-baby visit, and as expected, she is doing great! She is now a tall 27 inches (up from 25.5 inches, and now in the 90th percentile for height) and weighs in at 19 pounds, 5 ounces (up from 16.9 pounds, and now in the 93rd percentile). Her physician was very pleased with her growth and development, as were we.

I hope to take some 6 month birthday photos later today for this blog.

Our little sitter

Aoife is sitting for longer periods of time, she plays at her toy for 2-3 minutes before falling over on her side. I would not be surprised if she is able to sit for at least 10 minutes by the end of the month.

Little teeth

Aoife is doing well - she's moving around more, sitting up for longer periods of time, and most interesting of all - her teeth are coming in! Her front bottom teeth are starting to push through - we can feel it but not see them yet.  Once we can see them, I'll try to get some photos.
