A couple more shots from the picket line

A couple more shots of Aoife and her friends from the picket line earlier this week. Clearly, she enjoyed herself.

"A" is for Activist

Aoife attended her first picket line today. Her daycare took her to Harborview Medical Center to protest the 1% raise (over two years) that University of Washington Classified employees would get over two years. For some perspective, "professional staff" (like me) have had 4% raises in each of the past two years. Aoife knows what fair is, and this isn't it!

Aoife attends her first baseball game

On Sunday we went to see the Seattle Mariners play the Houston Astros at Safeco Field. Aoife enjoyed the train ride to the stadium, playing in the stadium playground, and all the free stuff she got from the game! She even managed to last three whole innings.

A trip to the doctor

We went in for Aoife's annual checkup today. She's now at 3'2.25" tall (73rd percentile) and weighs 35-1/2 pounds (84th percentile). She was not feeling well last night, and a bit lethargic today (she didn't want to go to a park!). When the doctor checked her ears, she had an infection in her left ear. This was the fourth ear infection this past year, and she suggested that Aoife may need to see a specialist and have tubes put in her ears.

Sigh.

A few photos from the workweek

Here are a few weekday photos of Aoife. She's such a ham!

A new park!

On Saturday, we made a trip to Beacon Hill to check out Jefferson Park. We had a great time! There were slides, lots of structures to climb, swings, see-saws, and best of all, a zip line! Our little adrenaline junkie had a great time and can't wait to return!
