A new bed!

On Sunday, we converrted Aoife's crib to a toddler bed! She helped Daddy with her new toolkit.  At night, I tucked her into her bed, and checked back a few hours later . . .only to wake up Aoife and have her sleep in our bed!

Saturday outing

We took Aoife to a mall playground on Saturday (conveniently located next to a toy store). When she was done playing, we let her pick out a new toy. She immediately found a John Deere toolbelt. She looked at other toys, but none were as interesting. She took it home and worked on her tractor.  Her great-grandfather (who owned a few John Deere dealerships) would be proud!

Friday at the park

Our Friday outing at the park was marked by two firsts - one good, one bad. On the bad sad, Aoife encountered her first bullies. Some older kids (about five years old) were there with their (inattentive, terrible) daycare. The would take away any sandbox toy Aoife was interested in, and later threw sand in her face when I was distracted. I took her away from the situation, and we proceeded to have a good time at the park.

On the bright side, she spent the longest time she ever spent at the park - almost four hours (this is out happy first). She made a new friend, and we ran in to a friend from daycare. I think she forgot all about the bullies!
