The perils of a developing immune system

At daycare, kids not only learn social skills, they also develop their immune systems by regularly trading all sorts of bugs and viruses. Earlier this week we found out the hand, foot and mouth virus going around her daycare. Today we found out she has it. The good new is it doesn't seem to bother her, it just looks painful. I'll spare you the photos of her rashes.

Aoife's Daycare update

On Monday, we had a meeting with Aoife's daycare provider so that she could update us on Aoife's development. Some choice feedback from the meeting:

• In 15 years in daycare, Aoife is one of the most consistently happy kids she's worked with
• Aoife loves to investigate
• Aoife seems to like others and isn't shy around adults or kids
• She is typically tolerant and curious
• She is much more likely to be doing than watching

Playful Sunday

Aoife spent time watching football with her Daddy, and watching "Cinderella" and grocery shopping with Mommy. It was a fun day for Aoife!

Saturday fun

Aoife had fun goofing around Saturday. Heck, she loves to goof around every day!
